Atomic City vs. The Trampires might sound like the long-awaited sequel to the Ed Wood immortal film classic Plan Nine from Outer Space but actually it is the billing for the first bout of the first season for the Atomic City Rollergirls of the Tri-Cities area ( Richland, Pasco, Kennewick) of Washington. The name, Atomic City, comes from the nearby Hanford Nuclear Reservation where the Manhattan Project was carried out.

The Trampires are undefeated ever and are back-to-back champions of the Dockyard Derby Dames. Their insatiable blood lust has brought them east of the Cascades to the home of the glow-in-the-dark girls from the Hanford area thirsting for some green blood, but the radioactive mutants are threatening a nuclear response.

After clicking "play" and enjoying this satisfying bout, the amount of improvement Atomic City has made in six months can be seen by viewing their first competitive bout anywhere against Dockyard's Marauding Mollys last July. That bout is online here.

BTW, to learn more about Ed Wood, who is the inspiration and patron saint of our videography crew, we recommend the Johnny Depp portrayal in Tim Burton's Ed Wood.
